If you want to learn different skateboarding tricks there are plenty out there. You can hit the full-pipe, half-pipe, or take things to the streets. No matter where you go to master your skateboarding tricks, the kick-flip should be mandatory. Even though you will start out with the basics in the beginning there are several different variations to it.

Getting familiar with each trick is important, and the kick-flip is similar to an Ollie variation. In order to make it work, the position of your feet should be the same as if you were doing a basic Ollie. Then take the ball of your front foot and place it close to the center of the skateboard. The best place is a little below the front bolts.

Once you've got this down you can then use your back foot to hit the skateboard's tail on the ground. When doing a kick-flip though, you won't drag your front foot forward like a standard Ollie.
When it comes to a kick-flip you're going to drag your foot towards the side of the skateboard. Then simply use a flicking movement, but the key is to do this as fast as possible. In order to do this you must use your ankle muscle so it will flip faster.

Skateboarding tricks like the kick-flip is all about simultaneous actions. While the board is flipping you must jump at the same time. If the board is rising while you're performing it then everything is going well. Don't push down on the board either, or you won't be able to do it correctly. Overall though, this is how you master the kick-flip.

Once the flip is complete then make contact with the board by using your back foot. It allows you to gain control a lot easier. After this you will make contact with the front foot as well. Then of course when you land it will be a good idea to get both feet as close to the skateboard's bolts as you can.

Mastering the kick-flip isn't that difficult, but it does take practice. Just remember what Vince Lombardi used to tell his football players; "Perfect practice makes perfect."
The better you get at learning skateboarding tricks, the more you will want to learn. If you try a double kick-flip you will make the skateboard rotate twice before bringing it back to the ground. You could also grab a triple and quadruple kick-flip down the road. However, if you're already familiar with these skateboarding tricks then maybe a more challenging one will suit you. You could try; the hard-flip, 540-flip, varial kick-flip, as well as the kick-flip 180. Each one of them will definitely put you to the test, which means tons of practice will be needed.

Boosting your skating skills all starts with the kick-flip. When you realize that you've mastered the basic version you can start looking at more complicated skateboarding tricks to master. Whatever ones you choose, we know you'll have tons of fun.
